YouTube is too full of resources, even for railway enthusiastic. I was pretty surprised to learn that the very basis of modern tilting trains was born in the UK. Moreover APT joined other innovations I’ll try to summarise maybe in another post.

In this episode Peter meets two visionary British engineers who back in the early 70’s’, created a space-age tilting train capable of reaching speeds of over 150mph on Britain’s twisting rail system. It was the greatest advance in train technology in over 100 years and yet it was ultimately dumped by British Rail.
