UIC publishes free of charge documentation
There’s a long list of documents free of charge available on the UIC website. I published some of them some months ago, also available on R2.0 documents repository on Scribd.
You can download directly, among the others:
Process, Power, People – Energy Efficiency for Railway Managers
E-Train – Broadband Communication with moving trains. Technical Report – Technology state of the art
Guidelines for the Application of Asset Management in Railway Infrastructure Organisations
Influence of the European Train Control System (ETCS) on the capacity of nodes
Keeping Climate Change, Solutions on Track. The Role of Rail
ETCS – Implementation Handbook
High Speed and the City
High speed rail – Fast track to sustainable mobility
Maintenance of High Speed Lines
Necessities for future high speed rolling stock
Railway Noise in Europe
UIC ERTMS Platform
I especially suggest the reports High Speed and the City, about the impact of high speed on cities (there’s a number of case studies) and Necessities for future high speed rolling stock. I’ve spoken about the latter in a previous post.
